Everything’s a learning curve and hey, if I get hurt or mess up along the way than so be it cause it’s my choice.
This Here ladies and gentlemen ^^
Brantley Gilbert has become my role model since I first began listening to his music. He’s not my role model just because I’m a fan of his music, but more importantly because I’m a fan of him. I admire him so much for speaking his life through his music.
BG once said, “I don’t sing anything I don’t write and I don’t write anything I haven’t lived through.” That means a lot to me because you don’t get that a lot in the music industry these days. Many producers will write songs for artists to sing. Brantley sings his own stuff and it all tells a story about his life; the good, the bad, the heartbreaks and everything in between. His music has helped me through many a hard time in my life because it’s easy to relate to.
Beyond his music, he’s a genuinely good guy. I think this video depicts his down to earth personality real well. He’s got a rebel, outlaw side to him, but he’s also got a real honest side to him. Saving Amy has come to be one of my favorite songs of all time. It’s a sad song, but if you know the story behind it you can understand why it means so much.
If you know anything about Brantley’s life I hope you can learn to admire him like I do. You don’t find a musician, or even a person, like him very often.
